The quality of parts is lower than that of the PVM series and picture quality is not quite as good despite the monitor sharing the same M-class tubes as the entry-level PVMs of the same size (in the brochure you can see the 14" listed as 500 TVL. You can use the service menu to correct it: changing the C BPF NTSC Y/C setting from 0 to 1 (like it is for composite) fixes most of the problem right off the bat, and then you can tweak the phase. Word of advice: I've got a bunch of 14N5U, and every one of them had a messed up hue on s-video input
